A Selective Estrogen Receptor Modifier (SERM), also known as 'Clomid', prescribed to inhibit the effects of estrogen and increase production of testosterone in males. Clomiphene is a nonsteroidal fertility agent used to induce ovulation in infrequently ovulating or anovulatory women, including patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

It may also be used to treat side effects of elevated estrogen, such as gynecomastia and water retention. This is also prescribed to improve ovulation in females, which will increase chances of pregnancy. Taken orally with water. Clomiphene is a nonsteroidal fertility agent used to induce ovulation in infrequently ovulating or anovulatory women, including patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). The drug is effective at producing ovulation in patients with an intact hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis and with ovaries that are capable of functioning normally.
