Estradiol LabCorp
This test measures Estradiol levels in women to identify a potential hormone deficiency.

What is this test?
This test measures Estradiol levels in the blood to identify a potential hormone deficiency. Estradiol is the most common form of Estrogen, a female sex hormone responsible for many bodily and reproductive functions. Men also produce Estradiol, but in much smaller quantities than women, and they require a more sensitive test to identify Estradiol levels.
Estrogen plays an important role in the development of female secondary sex characteristics. It also contributes to bone health, supports reproductive and sexual health, helps regulate the menstrual cycle, contributes to maintaining body composition, and more.
Symptoms of low Estrogen include irregular periods, hot flashes and night sweats, mood swings, anxiety and depression, fat gain and changes in body composition, loss of libido, and others.
Who is this test for?
This test is for women who want to measure their Estrogen levels. This test is typically ordered alongside other hormone tests, including Progesterone and Testosterone, to create a full picture of your overall health and identify hormonal imbalance. If you are experiencing the symptoms listed above, consider ordering the Women’s Comprehensive Wellness Panel to help identify whether a hormone deficiency is the cause.
