Semen Analysis LabCorp
This analysis can help determine infertility in men.

What is this test?
A Semen Analysis is key to understanding potential infertility in men. This analysis will look at the liquid portion of semen as well as the level and health of sperm. This test will also analyze other factors, including volume, viscosity, sperm count and concentration, mobility of the sperm, and more.
Male fertility affects approximately 40% of couples and can stem from abnormally functioning sperm, a low volume of sperm, or a blockage that limits how much sperm is released. These can be caused by genetic factors, illness, chronic conditions, and certain lifestyles.
A provider may require this test more than once to balance for potential variability and ensure accuracy.
Who is this test for?
If you are looking to start a family and/or have struggled with conception, a Semen Analysis can help identify your fertility. This test can also be used to determine the success of a vasectomy.
Note: This analysis is only available at select LabCorp locations, so we recommend calling your local LabCorp prior to ordering your test. This test requires careful preparation beforehand, including abstinence for two to seven days prior to sample collection, among other instructions. It is often best to work alongside a provider when ordering a Semen Analysis.
