Ferrous Sulfate is an iron supplement, which assists with the body's production of red blood cells. This may be used to treat or prevent iron-deficiency anemia. Poor diet, excess bleeding, pregnancy, or other medical conditions can sometimes be the cause of low hemoglobin or red blood cells.
