Des-gamma-carboxy Prothrombin (DCP)

This test measures a protein fragment that is released when blood clots break down. It is often used to help monitor treatment with certain blood-thinning medications like warfarin. Elevated levels can sometimes indicate an increased risk of blood clots or liver disease.
